And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
Faith hope and love are interchangeable and linked to each other. Abiding in these three are greatly vital to
God.
Jesus revealed the greatest love of all when He was crucified on the
cross for our sins. Without His love and apart from God’s plan to save us, we
are all lost. This reveals a love that is beyond our grasp and this kind of
love leads to faith, and faith will bring hope.
How can we show the same love to others?
There are times we tend to set hurdles on things to show we love and
care for others but in most cases, all we need is just spending some time with
them, sitting quietly and listening. Other times it is offering our prayers
for them, and expanding it even without letting them know. Or simply it
could be just an unfussy hug or smile.
There are countless ways to let somebody see our love towards them.
It may even be from a distance because
now that we are in an era of technology, seeing and talking to someone is just
a one click away.
On a flip side, sometimes loving others can be very tough and
challenging as well. When you feel like struggling about it, maybe you need to
pull back and have some quiet time with God. Sometimes we only need to
revitalize and to bear in mind and learn by heart that He is the upwelling source
of love and if we stay connected to Him, we will never run out of love to
share.
When we do this, it can help us see things more clearly and with a new,
fresh perspective.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35 (NKJV)
Walking in love is the greatest.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for letting me
know that You are not just the source and the author of love, but You alone is
love. You did not withhold it by giving Your Son for our salvation. Let your
unconditional love be rooted in my heart that it may bring faith and faith to
bring hope in me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
